• Lead Structural Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join our team in the design and development of energy infrastructure across the nation. This company is a multidiscipline engineering firm servicing the energy sector including traditional oil and gas infrastructure and the implementation of new carbon capture initiatives. This position requires a high degree of proficiency and competency in performing structural steel design, structural concrete design and load development in accordance with ASCE 7 for industrial type structures and foundations. The successful candidates will be required to work in a team environment, coordinating with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering disciplines and leading the civil structural design aspects of small to large energy infrastructure projects. We are seeking an engineer who can run a project independently, and knows when to seek out other disciplines and align them with best practices for doing structural supports. In this role you will not necessarily be responsible for leading a team, more so delegating tasks to junior engineers and mentor/field their questions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 7+ years of civil/structural engineering experience

     

    - 2+ years of experience in a lead role

     

    - Professional Engineer License

     

    - NCEES Record

     

    - Proven experience in the design and detailing of steel and concrete structures (pipe racks, pipe supports, pump foundations, vessel foundation and similar industrial type structures)

    - Working knowledge of ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI null
