Job Description

One of our large Pharmaceutical clients is actively looking for a Lab Scientist to join the Drug Discovery & Development team in R&D. This project will specifically focus in on the liver (hepatology) and renal space, indication and validation of early drug targets.

Responsibilities include:

- Sterile cell culture, cell culture reagent generation, aliquoting and freezing cell down

- Perform molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell-based assays techniques - ELISAs, MSD, protein/RNA isolation, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, gel electrophoresis

- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks according to company guidelines

- Analyze and summarize experimental data using a variety of laboratory instrumentation and associated computer softwares

- Perform laboratory maintenance such as incubator inspection and waste disposal/management

- Present data, interpretation, and conclusions to project teams in a clear and concise manner

This is a 12 month contract, with potential extensions.

Skills and Requirements

BS or MS in biology, pharmacology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry immunology or related scientific discipline.

2-4 years' in cell culture experience

Sterile cell culture, cell culture reagent generation, aliquoting and freezing cell down experience

ELISAs, protein/RNA isolation, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, gel electrophoresis technique experience Advanced cell line/tissue culture maintenance (long-term cultures)

Acquisition and analysis of high content cellular imaging data

Flow cytometry experience

Background in hepatology is preferred.
