Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is seeking a QC Technician-Produce to join their team. As a QC Technician-Produce, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** QC Technician-Produce
**Location:** McAllen, TX
**Pay Range:** $13.00 - $15.00 hrly
What's the Job?
+ Implement QC Programs: Execute quality control programs as directed by corporate guidelines to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
+ Incoming Product Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of incoming produce, verifying pallet counts, assessing product quality, and applying QC stickers as necessary.
+ Monitor Production Quality: Continuously evaluate product quality during production cycles, ensuring adherence to specified requirements.
+ Supervise QC Procedures: Assist in supervising workers engaged in QC inspections, providing training and oversight to ensure proper execution of quality checks.
+ Outgoing Product Verification: Oversee the inspection of outgoing products to confirm they meet quality standards before distribution.
What's Needed?
+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Food Science or a related field is preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a quality control role within the food industry, preferably in a refrigerated produce environment.
+ Skills: Proficient in using QC inspection tools and equipment.
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
