Summary:

As a Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering orders in system, reviewing and pulling orders, and ensuring customers' needs are met in a professional and timely fashion. This is a hybrid roll that also entails warehouse work. You are expected to make sure our products are received, stored and distributed accurately and efficiently. Counter Sales/Warehouse Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, knowledge of materials and ensuring our customers’ orders are packed with care and accuracy. Our counter sales / warehouse associates work 40 hours per week, thorough and comprehensive training is provided to all associates.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Sales experience: 1 year

+ Customer Service experience: 1 year

+ General computer literacy

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds

+ Good mechanical skills

+ Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist

+ Ability to work on concrete floor for entire shift

+ Ability to climb ladders to pull material

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in electrical or solar industries

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on needed activities and will include in the A/C controlled counter area, warehouse, and external environments. Some activities will include lifting (maximum 50 lbs.), sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Create Sales Register, pull material from the warehouse, and fill the order

+ Accept Sale returns and write up Sale refund

+ Keep counter area and displays clean, stocked, and neat at all times and assist in maintaining the entire location in a clean and orderly fashion

+ Assist with purchasing duties by informing the Purchasing Agent when item inventory is low or sold out

+ Answer sales calls and complete orders over the phone 3

+ Help in the warehouse to pull orders as needed

+ Drive Forklift as needed

+ Any other tasks required to help the team

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $25 to $27 hourly.
