    As Sr. Global Supply Manager for the assigned liquid cooling category, you will lead the supply chain development and the deployment of advanced cloud infrastructure solutions. You will ensure continuity of supply and maintain unconstrained supply at a global scale for liquid cooling category. You will also work with internal customers and business partners to understand demand signals and drive the appropriate supply strategies to deliver continuity of supply. Additionally, you will work very closely with Data Center Engineering team, collaborate with Technical Program and Product Managers and other cross functional teams, and develop and manage liquid cooling supply chain globally.

    This position is located in Austin, TX.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    Identify and develop critical tier 2 supply chain strategy

     

    Ensure supply chain resilience by qualifying alternative tier 2 components

     

    Manage tier 2 supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements

     

    Oversee consolidated forecast across product categories and align with Category/Supply Managers on allocation of tier 2 supply

     

    Lead strategic relationships with key suppliers, and negotiate supply agreement to secure supply, optimize cost and lead time

     

    Develop and report tier 2 category health to leadership

    Build and execute strategies to ensure supply continuity of critical components

    Each day you will interact with external supply base and different internal teams responsible for engineering, product development, finance, integration, and operation of these complex technology programs. You prioritize your activities to support data center product development and delivery, identify and resolve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for business success.

    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field, or additional 5+ years of related industry experience in lieu of a degree

     

    6+ years of related supply chain management and/or supplier management experience, or 4+ years with advanced related degree

     

    3years of experience in program, project, or product management, or leading an implementation of a product

     

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using tools such as advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred qualifications:

    Experience in program-managing complex projects with multifaceted inputs and outputs

     

    End-to-end knowledge of supply chain operations and systems

     

    Experience in data centers, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company

     

    MBA or advanced degree in engineering, supply chain or other quantitative disciplines

     

    Able to model supply chain strategies to define cost and performance impacts, trade-offs, and risks

     

    Understand the implications of different operational choices to guide teams and leadership to best solutions for the organization

     

    Global Supply Chain experience

     

    10+ years of relevant supply chain experience

     

    Effectively communicate relevant information at all levels of the organization

     

    Experience creating an innovative global supply strategy for the organization resulting in a tangible benefit to the business

     

    Experience designing the strategy and execution road map for a supply chain

     

    Experience with design and vision for technology infrastructure investment, providing financial savings in an end to end supply chain

     

    Direct responsibility for modeling strategies for a complex supply chain that has experienced an increase in scale and complexity of demand.
