Description Summary:

The Recertification Clerk provides administrative support to the division by preparing correspondence, managing files, processing data, and supporting program operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and proof departmental correspondence, reports, and documentation.

Distribute and process monthly recertification applications.

Run Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports and request income verifications.

Compare recertification and inspection lists for consistency.

Sort, distribute, and process incoming/outgoing mail and faxes.

Maintain accurate records, organize paperwork, and perform general filing.

Support the team with data entry, document preparation, and report generation.

Ensure timely and regular attendance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

1–2 years of office or public contact experience, preferably in housing or social services.

Valid Georgia driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Yardi preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Basic math and data analysis abilities.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage competing tasks and adapt to change.
