Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting operations. Responsibilities:

• Reconcile, analyze, and report cash balances on a weekly basis to ensure accurate financial tracking.

• Collaborate across departments to identify upcoming disbursements and collections for timely cash forecast reporting.

• Analyze monthly trends and variations in income statement accounts, including labor, cash, accrued expenses, and prepaid assets.

• Design and maintain systems for managing payroll information, including data collection, calculation, and reconciliation.

• Process and update payroll batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Manage 401k contribution entries and ensure proper documentation.

• Perform periodic internal audits related to payroll, costing, and inventory to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Assist with payables processing, including child support payments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.

• Support the Accounting and Finance Management team by preparing ad hoc reports as needed.

• Work collaboratively with various departments, including off-site teams, to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Proficiency in payroll processes and systems, including HRIS and automated payroll tools.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Expertise in general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP and ADP payroll systems.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across depart
