Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Java Developer in O'Fallon, Missouri. This role is involved in the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions with a focus on cloud native microservices. The candidate for this role will be part of a dynamic team and will contribute to the development of secure solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in the development and customization of new applications, adhering to established standards, processes, and best practices.

• Collaborating with the development team, product management, and scrum masters to deliver secure solutions.

• Contributing to story estimation as part of an agile team and participating in all agile scrum ceremonies.

• Writing code to build and enhance applications/services, adhering to team working agreements, best practices, and coding standards.

• Participating in code-reviews, code scanning, and other standard development practices to deliver high-quality artifacts to production.

• Writing Unit Tests and contributing to test automation.

• Defining, designing, and developing procedures and solutions at a service level to meet the business requirements/enhancements.

• Assisting in the automation and simplification of all aspects of software delivery and development.

• Participating in a blameless postmortems culture to identify root causes of incidents and implementing learnings.

• Sharing and seeking knowledge within their Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns/libraries/practices and enhance productivity.

• Understanding the customer journeys and ensuring a good experience by continuously reducing mean time to mitigate for incidents and ensuring high availability.

Requirements

• Strong skills in Backend Development are essential.

• Ability to develop and implement Business Logic.

• Expertise in Client Side Scripting is necessary.

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies is a must.

• Experience in AB Testing is required.

• Agile Scrum methodologies should be well-understood and practiced.

• Knowledge of Ajax is a fundamental requirement.

• Proficiency in API Development is essential.

• Experience with Java is crucial.
