Description
Robert Half is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our client's team based in the Greater Philadelphia area. The chosen Supply Chain Manager candidate will be instrumental in managing and controlling all aspects of our manufacturing supply chain, from purchasing and logistics to warehousing. This Supply Chain Manager role will involve maintaining systems for recording and controlling stock levels, preparing regular plans for material ordering, and managing the integrity of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
+ Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
+ Develop a regular plan for ordering materials and discuss these plans with senior management
+ Investigate the price and availability of materials in line with scheduled demand
+ Maintain an approved list of suppliers and place timely orders with these vendors
+ Verify order confirmations from vendors to ensure all conditions match those on the purchase orders
+ Oversee the delivery schedule of materials according to orders confirmed by vendors
+ Ensure all established prices, quality, and delivery commitments are met
+ Verify receipt documents and liaise with the accounts department to ensure compliance with company procedures
+ Manage the integrity and order of the raw material, packaging, and finished goods stocks within the warehouse
+ Oversee the system and procedures of warehouse operations to ensure smooth handling and movement of materials
+ Manage inbound and outbound freight services to maintain raw material and packaging supplies and customer service
Requirements
The ideal Supply Chain Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree with preferred study in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Supply Chain Manager role include and are not limited to:
+ 10+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience
+ 5+ years of team management experience
+ SAP experience required
+ International experience preferred
+ Proven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
