JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Finance-North America plays a critical leadership role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence across the Americas business unit. This position partners closely with the CFO, Global Financial Leadership, Regional Business Unit EVP and Key Business Unit Leadership to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, deliver innovative financial and commercial solutions that drive top-line growth, increase EBITDA, and support strategic initiatives, including business integrations. The role is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and reporting processes within the Americas region, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company standards while providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
YOU ARE
A strategic financial leader drawn to growth - You will play a key role partnering with the CFO, Global Financial Leadership, Regional Business Unit EVP and Key Business Unit Leadership to deliver innovative commercial and financial solutions that drive growth. You will function as a key leader in evaluating, designing, and executing EBITDA growth initiatives. You will assess and actualize plans to fuel top-line growth and increase EBITDA. Working cross-functionally, you will support company integrations to align with strategic objectives.
A financial accounting, financially analysis and reporting guru – The Senior Director will oversee and ensure accurate accounting in line with company Standard Policies &Procedures (SP&P), US GAAP, and Controllership. Developing and delivering key performance indicators, analyzing trends, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions will be a focus of this leadership position. You will need to tailor analytical packages to support business unit leaders in decision-making decisions based on evolving business needs. Partnering with Global Financial Leadership to ensure execution of robust FP&A processes, leveraging tools such as Power BI for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and analysis will be a big focus for you. You will conduct detailed sales and margin analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement, ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all financial documentation to guide strategic planning. You will also take ownership to manage and lead the Americas monthly Operating Reviews.
A proven leader with laser focus on talent development – You will manage the NA FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure alignment with the organization’s evolving needs and oversee the team's use of ERP and reporting systems to generate timely and accurate reports for senior management. You will also collaborate with the team to prepare and manage financials, forecasts, resourcing plans, capital expenditures, and budgets will be essential. The Senior Director will also be responsible for building strategies that consistently drive down working capital while improving cash flow.
Comfortable with building and developing strong stakeholder engagement – You know how to Communicate effectively with accounting staff, CFO, global finance teams, and BU leadership. You also have a history of partnership that fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement mindset within the finance and accounting and business teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
+ + 10+ years of experience in progressive financial leadership roles in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Experience in a multi-location organization is required; Distribution or Manufacturing business experience is preferred.
+ Outstanding business and financial acumen with proven experience in developing a deep understanding of a company's business model, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to align financial strategies with business objectives.
+ Prior experience in leading high-performance teams in finance, accounting, and FP&A, and experience in overseeing and assuming responsibility for financial reporting.
+ Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders to understand and align financial strategies with organizational goals, driving top-line growth and EBITDA improvements.
+ Expertise in interpreting and leveraging financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to articulate complex financial insights effectively.
+ Must have exceptional people skills to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix management structure while leading and influencing stakeholders in a positive manner.
+ Demonstrate strong leadership within the business possessing excellent, professional communication skills.
+ Dedication to upholding the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability in all financial activities.
+ CPA, MBA, or public accounting firm experience preferred.
