Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
+ 12+ years of information technology experience.
+ _3_ _+ years of_ _director-level management_ _experience, including managing direct and indirect reports._
+ _Ability to develop and implement a_ **_data and AI roadmap_** _aligned with business goals_
+ _Strong understanding of_ **_AI/ML frameworks_**
+ _Proficiency in_ **_cloud platforms_** _(GCP preferred)_ **_and data platforms_** _(Snowflake and Google Big query preferred)_
+ _Deep knowledge of_ **_data architecture_** _,_ **_data modeling_** _, and_ **_master data management_**
+ _Demonstrated ability to_ **_build, mentor, and manage high-performing cross-functional teams_** _focused on artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and data platforms._
+ **_Proven experience leading AI/ML teams_** _, including data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers, in the development, deployment, and scaling of machine learning models and AI solutions in a production environment._
Job Summary
Directs and manages the work of associates through management teams that develop, implement, and/or support technology solutions for an enterprise business portfolio. Provides strategic guidance to leadership to ensure the operational stability of technology systems and that technology solutions meet the short- and long-term needs of the organization.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
+ Directs multiple teams focused on technology development and support activities to ensure technology issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with governance and security processes.
+ Reviews the progress of technology efforts and removes roadblocks impeding work efforts.
+ Resolves complex problems by assessing multiple options and selecting the best course of action for the enterprise.
+ Presents activity statuses to peers, technology leaders, and company leaders and advocates for the needs of the team.
+ Works with direct reports to align technology resources to appropriate projects and workstreams, including managing departmental budgets.
+ Reviews operational processes and implements or directs changes when needed.
+ Partners with technology and business leaders to develop and recommend short- and long-term technology improvements and initiatives for the organization.
+ Participates in external leadership and development activities to drive continuous technology improvements within the company.
Nature and Scope
+ Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
+ Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
+ May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.
Work Environment
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
+ Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
