This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in office operations, project management, and organizational support while working in a dynamic environment. Work closely with staff on research, program development, and creative positive impacts within the community. Apply concepts and academic knowledge to real world scenarios and challenges. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in gaining practical experience in the non‐profit sector while contributing to meaningful social change.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Project Management Office with a dual focus on supporting both project management activities and the engineering department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing projects, coordinating tasks, and contributing to engineering initiatives within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Support:
Assist project managers with planning, tracking, and documentation of ongoing projects
Attend project meetings and help capture action items, decisions, and follow-ups
Help maintain project schedules, timelines, and deliverables
Support in the preparation of presentations, reports, and project communications
Assist in ensuring project documentation is up to date and properly stored
Engineering Department Support:
Collaborate with engineering team members on project-related tasks
Assist in drafting or updating technical documents, layouts, and diagrams
Help coordinate communication between engineering and other departments
Provide administrative support for equipment tracking, change control documentation, and testing activities
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interest in healthcare, biotechnology, or life sciences is a plus
Learning Objectives:
Gain exposure to real-world project management and engineering practices
Develop skills in project coordination, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
Build a foundational understanding of engineering support within a regulated environment
