Accounts Payable Specialist will report to Controller and play an integral role in the monthly financial close process. Ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of full cycle accounts payable processes. Applicant must be a team player with positive attitude, with focus on timeliness and accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as well as intermediate level of Excel skills such as pivot-tables and v-lookups.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 4:30pm

Pay: $26.00 - $ 28.00 per hour DOE

Temporary six months job.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform full-scope Accounts Payable activities, assisting in preparing weekly check runs, review and code invoices to appropriate accounts

+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

+ Organize and maintain vendor files

+ Aid in implementation and adherence to internal controls and procedures

+ Utilize Bellwether and QuickBooks to input, retrieve, or display accounting information

+ Maintain the general ledger and reconcile key AP related accounts

+ Ad hoc projects including analysis and interpretation of data, policy and procedure creation and modification, variance and trend analysis, and general department innovation

Requirements:

+ Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

+ Ability to successfully multi-task

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma required

+ Business or Accounting degree preferred

+ 1-3 years hands-on accounts payable experience
