    Job title: Discover - Discover GCU Host

     

    Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of this role is to s erve as a GCU Ambassador to prospective students who attend the Discover GCU trip.

    Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

    + Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement

    + Execute weekly event operations

    + Present on trained information to groups of guests

    + Provide positive and safe experience for guests

    + Ensure inventory is adequate per event

    + Ensure rooms are adequately cleaned and prepared for events

    + Additional Tasks as assigned

    Equipment Used and Responsibility:

    + MS Office Suite

    + Point of Sales (POS) systems

    + SkyTouch

    Qualifications:

    + Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment

    + Flexibility and enthusiasm a must

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of various groups

    + Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors

    + Open weekend availability is a must

    + Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week

    Experience/Education:

    Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

     

    + Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

    + Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

    + Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

     

    You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

     

    Pay Rate: Minimum Wage

     

    Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2026
