    Description

    Comunilife LIPis looking for aProgram Directorto assist in leading a couple of Life is Precious Program locations. Reporting to the Vice President (VP), the program director is a vital member of the LIP team and assists in the programs’ daily operations including conducting intakes, supervising case managers and program coordinators and working directly with the teens and their parents, when needed. The Program Director represents LIP in the community and nurtures and grows community connections and facilitates workshops and training to local schools, parents, and community organizations, and assists with the start up of the new Long Island center. This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefits and paid time off package.

    Job Duties:

    Oversee the programs’ daily operations including conducting intakes, supervising case managers and program coordinators and working directly with the teens and their parents. Oversee the set- up of the program and all outreach initial processes in LIP site. Represent LIP in the community and nurtures and grows community connections and facilitates workshops and training to local schools, parents, and community organizations, and assists with the start up of the new Long Island center. Manage the ongoing development and growth of the Life Is Precious™ (LIP) program with the goal of increasing the number of Latina teens participating. Supervise program activities across multiple locations and provide program coverage as needed. Supervise case managers and Program Coordinators and collaborate with administrative staff. Supervise documentation of case managers’ progress notes in AWARDS. Contribute towards the development of strategies, tools, and tactics to improve the quality and offering of services. Provide outreach and promote LIP to schools and school administrators, community stakeholders, etc. and promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction and provide suicide prevention workshops while building the reach and reputation of the program. Supervise case workers. Oversee development of programs and monitor budgeting. Oversee performance evaluations and maintain Comunilife policies and procedures, quality assurance, utilization review and outreach activities. Adhere to the policies, principles, and procedures that comply with internal as well as funder (such as DOHMH and DYCD) regulatory requirements, guidelines, and directives. Employ therapeutic techniques such as CBT and group therapy methods. Utilize crisis intervention techniques including DSM-5. Implementing behavioral analyses techniques including Suicide Risk Assessments. Apply development psychology and psychological testing. Oversee the following: 3 Program Coordinators; 3 Case Managers; 3 Consulting Facilitators.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in position offered or related position including experience in a social service industry working with adolescents and their families including one (1) years of experience employing therapeutic techniques such as CBT and group therapy methods, utilizing crisis intervention techniques including DSM-5, and implementing behavioral analyses techniques including Suicide Risk Assessments. Must have experience in development psychology and psychological testing. Must be fluent in Spanish.
