• Lab Technician

    Job Description

    The lab technician will be responsible for preparing client samples while working under a microscope. The role involves working with diverse industrial clients, including pharmaceutical, BSL2, and food industries, adhering to ISO and FDA regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare project samples for various clients, including pharmaceutical and food industries.

    + Perform evaluations to test for contaminants, separate particulates, and filter or isolate them based on customer requests.

    + Work under a microscope for at least half of the shift using Stereo and Polarized Microscopes.

    + Utilize flow hoods, including laminar flow hoods and biological safety cabinets.

    + Follow ISO and FDA regulations to ensure compliance.

    + Re-prioritize projects as needed, dependent on client deadlines and expectations.

    + Receive samples from clients and identify if they contain hazardous materials.

    + Work in a closed environment for hazardous materials or in open air for non-hazardous materials.

    + Perform evaluations for contaminants, separate, filter or isolate particulates, and pass samples to project leaders for completion.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Microbiology.

    + Dexterity to perform tasks under a microscope.

    + Experience working with micromanipulation.

    + Ability to work independently.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
