Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities



PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:

-Program and troubleshoot PLCs to ensure proper operation of control systems.

-Implement and optimize control strategies to enhance plant performance.

Maintenance Strategies:

-Develop and implement maintenance strategies for motors and other electrical equipment.

-Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

Operational Efficiency:

-Monitor and analyze plant operations to identify opportunities for improvement.

-Ensure efficient and safe operation of electrical systems and equipment.

Collaboration with Relay Group:

-Work closely with the Relay group to maintain and troubleshoot breakers and relays.

-Assist in the testing and commissioning of electrical protection systems.

Control Systems Support:

-Provide backup support for control systems operations, including starting turbines and maintaining plant operations.

-Respond to emergencies and perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Coordination with Station Personnel:

-Interact with station personnel to coordinate electrical engineering activities.

-Provide technical support and training to plant staff as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

-2 or 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.

-4+ years of experience as electrical engineer in plant or industrial setting

-Proven experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.

-Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, and control systems.

-Experience with maintenance strategies and operational efficiency in industrial settings.

-Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Strong communication skills and ability to interact with station personnel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
