Job Title: Lab Operations Associate
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Laboratory Materials Associate to support our Research and Development laboratories. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and experience in supporting the day-to-day operations of a Biology/Cell Culture lab. This role involves restocking routinely used supplies, managing shipping and receiving, conducting inventory counts, reordering inventory, and processing incoming inventory. Additionally, there will be opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects and support additional Supply Chain duties as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine onsite supply chain responsibilities daily, following applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Order and restock routinely used lab supplies.
+ Manage lab shipping and receiving.
+ Reconcile invoices.
+ Repack and store incoming inventory.
+ Maintain accurate inventory counts.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of laboratory/inventory/supply chain experience
+ BS or Associate Degree or experience in laboratory science or supply chain.
+ Experience working within a lab and managing its operations.
+ Experience working with a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in start-up/life science industry and/or gene therapy is a plus.
+ Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
+ Experience working across multiple locations.
+ Team player, respectful of others, and open to new ideas.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Self-motivated and passionate about operational excellence.
+ Great attention to detail, resourceful, and well-organized.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs, stand, bend, kneel for extended periods.
+ Ability to work on-call, after hours, and/or weekends on occasion or in emergencies.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite in a start-up company environment, where things can change and evolve. The team is very people, relationship, and mission-focused, and work can be hands-on at times. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, but could start later such as 9 am to 5 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $31.95/hr.
