**Work location:** IEEM atTexas Health Dallas, 7232 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231
**Work hours:** Fulltime; Monday-Friday (8:30 am-5:00 pm).

+ The Laboratory supervisor will lead the IEEM Biochemistry Lab for the IEEM research and clinical laboratory operations.
+ High degree of integrated teamwork with an engaged and supportive leadership team.
Here’s What You Need
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in lab science and five years of lab training or experience and two years’ experience supervising non-waived testing
• Must be certified by an American Society of Clinical Pathologist, HHS-approved board, required
• Must have 2 years’ experience supervising direct reports, strongly preferred
What You Will Do
• Responsible for continuous maintenance and operation of Laboratory equipment and Storage equipment for blood and muscle samples.
• The Lab supervisor is on-call for the rare occurrence of freezer alarm triggers.
• Specifies, develops, and facilitates procurement of Research laboratory testing protocol.
• Responsible for continuous updates to ensure proper accreditation protocols are met for The Joint Commission. Ex: Ensuring Policy and Procedures are reviewed and updated routinely.
• Responsible for miscellaneous Supervisory duties, ex: QMS reports, billing, QC review, ordering of supplies, scheduling Preventative maintenance for laboratory equipment and routine bench work.
• Collaboration: Provides technical knowledge at the planning and design stage(s) of research protocols in collaboration with investigator(s) and supports laboratory portion of the research projects throughout the project lifecycle
• Research new equipment when needed.
• Supervisor to lab personnel including performance reviews, training and development, setting schedules, time off approvals, interviews and hiring and performance management when necessary.
• Lead Liaison of the Biochemistry Lab with hospital departments.
