    Job Title: Millwright Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled Millwright Mechanics to perform mechanical maintenance on various industrial machinery. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing powerhouse equipment, including compressors, conveyors, palletizing equipment, belts, fans, blowers, pumps, furnaces, air compressors, and vacuum pumps. You will also repair hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, valves, bearings, and other secondary equipment. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, including minor welding and fabrication tasks and use of manual mills and lathes to machine parts. You will read blueprints, perform preventative maintenance, and utilize hand and power tools.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform 100% mechanical maintenance on industrial machinery.

    + Maintain and repair compressors, conveyors, palletizing equipment, belts, fans, blowers, pumps, furnaces, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.

    + Repair hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, valves, bearings, and secondary equipment.

    + Conduct minor welding and fabrication work.

    + Use manual mills and lathes to machine various parts.

    + Read and interpret blueprints.

    + Perform maintenance repairs using a scissor lift and on facility rooftops.

    + Carry out general preventative maintenance on equipment.

    + Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.

    + Perform general shop clean-up duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Must have a Journeyman card or 8+ years of Industrial Millwright experience.

    + Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

    + Strong work ethic, ability to stay busy and proactively seek tasks.

    + Must have own tools, though a company toolbox will be provided.

    + Comfortable working at heights up to 70 feet, secured in a scissor lift or on facility rooftops.

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as Millwrights, Machine Builders, Traveling Service/Install Technicians, or Industrial Millwrights is ideal.

    + Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

    + Experience with automation, machine building, and conveyors.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is within a facility that manufactures glass tableware for homes, restaurants, and candles. You will join a union environment with a structured work schedule across three shifts: A (7 AM to 3 PM), B (3 PM to 11 PM), and C (11 PM to 7 AM). After a year of employment, you will rotate through these shifts, with specific schedules outlined. Initially, expect to work 1st shift hours for training purposes. Our facility provides a safe and secure environment, and candidates should be open to working all shifts.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $60881.60 - $60881.60/yr.
