Field Service Technician -- First Shift -- Travel Included
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at various vendor and client sites. Your role will include installation and base-level commissioning of new automation systems, supporting on-site system installation, startup, debugging, and commissioning. You will also create training and system documentation as needed, provide remote support to troubleshoot system process problems, and complete formal training programs to enhance your knowledge of specific systems. Daily reporting and accurate tracking of time spent and expenses incurred for work performed are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
+ Install, test, and commission vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at vendor and client sites.
+ Support the installation, startup, debugging, and commissioning of systems on-site.
+ Create training and system documentation as required.
+ Provide remote support to troubleshoot system process problems.
+ Participate in formal training programs to enhance system knowledge.
+ Submit daily reports summarizing completed work and outlining remaining tasks.
+ Track and report time spent and expenses incurred accurately.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting experience (1+ year).
+ Proficiency in reading and following AutoCAD drawings for system layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting (1+ year).
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
+ Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work in a live production environment.

Work Environment
Expect 75% travel, primarily on-site at client locations. Trips usually run Monday to Friday, occasionally extending over weekends based on project needs. While on-site, you'll be in a climate-controlled, clean warehouse with large automation and robots. Candidates can be located anywhere near Lincoln or Omaha, though Nebraska residency is preferred due to travel requirements. Work hours vary according to client needs, typically aligning with shop hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $104000.00/yr.
