    Job Title: Plumbing Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Plumbing Technician with over six months of experience or familiarity in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor. The candidate must have experience with soldering and will assist journeyman licensed technicians on new installation piping and heating and cooling units in new construction residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist journeyman technicians with the delivery, installation, and troubleshooting of pipes and plumbing equipment.

    + Assist with power vacuuming of pipes and cleaning up the job site.

    + Lift and move units as needed with team members.

    + Utilize tools such as impact drills, sawzalls, wire strippers, lighted levels, and more.

    + Comfortably bend, crouch, kneel, and lift 100+ lbs as needed with team members.

    Essential Skills

    + 6+ months of experience in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor.

    + Experience with soldering.

    + Ability to use an impact driver and basic hand tools.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Mechanical aptitude and plumbing skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1+ year experience as a plumber helper or mechanical/construction aptitude.

    + Knowledge of HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, repair, and plumbing.

    + Blueprint reading skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Join a team-oriented environment with a busy schedule that requires on-call shifts every six weeks. Work hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 7 AM to 5 PM, with expectations of 60+ hours per week due to new projects. Technicians are paired with journeymen and may meet on the job site or at the shop. The dress code includes jeans, work boots, and a work-appropriate t-shirt, with company-provided t-shirts available. Basic hand tools are required.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

     

    Paid for Trade School Opportunity with the local ABC Program (Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa)
