    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    As a General Production Worker in the laminating department, you will be responsible for attaching laminate to cabinet and counter surfaces. You will ensure these surfaces are well aligned and free of defects. The role involves working with thin plastic laminate rolls and using glue sprayed from a gun.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow basic instructions to complete tasks.

    + Use basic hand tools, tape measures, air tools, and small hand tools effectively.

    + Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt.

    + Exhibit mechanical aptitude in performing tasks.

    + Attach laminate to cabinet and counter surfaces and apply finishing touches.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong attention to detail to identify bubbles or alignment issues with laminate.

    + Ability to perform basic math functions.

    + Previous experience with hand and power tools.

    + Proficiency in accurately reading a tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in lamination, especially in countertop companies.

    + Background in carpentry, cabinet making, assembly, and finishing.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a custom cabinetry shop specializing in custom cabinets and countertops for kitchens and bathrooms. Expect a millwright atmosphere with wood debris. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility for longer hours and occasional Saturdays as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
