Job Title: Maintenance Clerk
Job Description
As a Maintenance Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner. You will maintain fleet records, manage inventory levels, and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed on all units. You will input fleet information into a computerized fleet management system daily and may serve as a point of contact with vendors for ordering and receiving goods. Additionally, you will prepare truck purchase orders for management approval and utilize ePro to process transactions. Your role will also involve tagging, stocking, and dispensing parts to mechanics, reviewing purchase orders with accounting, and producing productivity and usage reports for management review. A commitment to safety policies and procedures is essential, as is supporting the Fleet Manager with fleet operations reports analysis.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
+ Maintain fleet records on inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
+ Input fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily.
+ Act as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive, and ensure payment for goods and services.
+ Prepare truck purchase orders for management approval, including assignment of general ledger codes.
+ Utilize ePro to process transactions.
+ Receive, tag, stock, and dispense parts to mechanics according to Corporate and Regional policy and local operating procedures.
+ Review purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy and proper payment of invoices.
+ Produce various productivity and usage reports for management review.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures; participate with the team to achieve safety goals.
+ Reconcile Dossier financial data to the general ledger.
+ Support the Fleet Manager with analysis of fleet operations reports, including analyzing data, identifying trends, and resolving data errors.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with automotive or heavy equipment, such as auto shop, parts store, marine, or rental company.
+ Proficiency in using computer programs and fleet management systems.
+ Ability to manage purchase orders and related transactions.
+ High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Flexibility with schedule, including closing shift availability.
+ Proficiency in Spanish.
+ Experience in construction or environmental industries.

Work Environment
Work in a unique and compact environment, operating within a temperature-controlled ocean container office. The setting is a transfer station construction dump yard, requiring adaptability to a small, confined space. The facility fits between lines of travel and offers a dynamic work experience.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $28.50/hr.
