    Production Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor for our first shift in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of food manufacturing lines, ensuring they are running smoothly and meeting production goals. Your role will involve performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee manufacturing activities in an assigned area of the food production plant.

    + Supervise a team of 50-60 employees.

    + Coach, mentor, and train Line Leads and plant employees.

    + Maintain a safe environment by supporting food and workplace safety rules and regulations.

    + Ensure production meets exceptional quality goals.

    + Communicate issues promptly to production management.

    + Recommend opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.

    + Provide training opportunities and development tools for production staff.

    + Enforce safe work practices.

    + Spend 90% of work time on the floor to oversee operations.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical skills

    + Hydraulics knowledge

    + Repair and preventive maintenance expertise

    + Hands-on experience in overseeing manufacturing activities

    + Ability to install and maintain gearboxes

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a team of 50-60 employees on each shift in a production setting. The role requires wearing steel-toe footwear. The schedule is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays (2-3 per year currently). The busy season is from February to October, requiring up to 10 or 12-hour shifts depending on workload.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
