    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a County Fiscal Officer 2, you will have multiple opportunities to flex your analytical muscles! You will be supervising and training staff to perform daily projects in preparation of the agency's budget, expenditures, and revenue. This will involve complex analysis over program changes, projecting estimated costs base on funding requirements, and state and federal expenditure reports. To be successful, you will need extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing our multiple funding streams. Collaboration will also be a key part of success in this role as you will report findings to the County Commissioners and County Controller, assist other staff with audits, and ensure completion of all mandated reports for the receipt of various state and federal funding.     Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment

    + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1;or

    + Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting;or

    + Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting;or

    + An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
