Program Manager - Business Technology Support & Innovation
Position Description:
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Business Analysis and Solution Design: Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business operations, challenges, and technology needs through stakeholder collaboration. Possesses the ability to translate intricate business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications for effective technology solutions. Applies skills to analyze existing systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement. The ability to effectively function as a liaison or Business Analyst, bridging business units and IT, is beneficial, as is proficiency with specific business process analysis methodologies.
+ Technology Implementation, Support, and Innovation: Provides reliable ongoing support for established business technology systems and associated processes. Assists in the successful implementation and adoption of new technology solutions, including delivering necessary training and support to business users. Proactively identifies opportunities and applies knowledge of technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and automation, to enhance business processes and outcomes. Maintains awareness of emerging technologies (AI, automation, data analytics) to advise on potential applications.
+ System Understanding and Administration: Possesses a solid understanding of system administration concepts, system architecture, and dependencies. Applies this understanding to grasp the capabilities and limitations of existing systems and infrastructure, including the impact of Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) on system integration and dataflow, informing decision-making and process design. Proficiency in Salesforce administration is advantageous for managing specific platform needs.
+ Project Management: Understands and applies project management principles and methodologies to effectively scope, plan, and support the execution of technology-related projects. Proactively develop project management to facilitate planning, training, communication, tracking, execution, and follow-up. Manage and coordinate projects with other departments using independent judgment and critical thinking. Understand and apply established policies and procedures to attain specified goals.
+ Professional Effectiveness: Works independently, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Adheres to all appropriate institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates self-reliance and resourcefulness in addressing challenges.
+ Communication and Collaboration: Serves as a critical communication link between business users and IT personnel, facilitating effective dialogue and managing expectations. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying technical information to non-technical audiences and translating business needs for technical teams. Effectively establishes and maintains working relationships with diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and business needs to technical teams.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with system administration concepts and the ability to understand system architecture and dependencies.
• Conceptual understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning principles and experience using or integrating AI tools (coding is not required, but understanding how these tools function is essential).
• Experience with identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
• Proficiency in using reporting and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, to create insightful reports and dashboards.
• Basic understanding of data management techniques and database concepts.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in a liaison or Business Analyst role between business units and IT.
• Experience with specific business process analysis methodologies.
• Experience with Salesforce administration.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Certifications in project management, business analysis, or other relevant technology platforms (e.g., PMP, CompTIA, ITIL, etc.).
