Are you a seasoned leader with experience in team management and warehouse or business operations?
We are seeking a dynamic professional to oversee and lead the day-to-day operations of our Facilities warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse activities, including purchasing, receiving, distribution, and billing of materials.
You will lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective operations, while also developing and managing supplier contracts. The role involves creating business and staffing plans to support departmental goals, assisting in the development of the department’s annual budget, and ensuring warehouse operations meet budgetary targets. Additionally, you will oversee the monthly billing of materials and maintain security and accountability for all warehouse inventory.

+ Provide day-to-day direction, support, and supervision to all staff.
+ Set the tone to create a spirit of section teamwork, enthusiasm, professionalism, and high quality work.
+ Identify and address operational issues and ensure continuous improvement of systems and processes.
+ Personally adheres to and ensures that all staff practice strict safety standards.
+ Prepare, manage, and present division budget to the Department Director for presentation to the BCC.
+ Ensures procurement of cost effective materials and services.
+ Prepare and maintain bid specifications (including review and award) for suppliers.
+ Partner with customers to develop procurement methods, bids, and contracts for the supply of department unique products.
+ Initiate requests to procurement adhering to procurement guidelines for ordering supplies.
+ Work closely with General Services’ Contract Liaisons and Fiscal Business Professionals.
+ Responsible to ensure prompt payment processing.
+ Lead and is an active working member of the Materials Management Division Staff, ensures an inventory of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) materials and supplies are on-hand at all times and ready for distribution as needed.
+ Ensure availability of all MRO supplies (excludes office supplies).
+ Responsible for budget, inventory control, purchasing, receiving/distribution, billing, delivery (via use of a bar code system), building security, and end-of-year audits.
+ Oversee the prioritizing, planning, implementation, workflow, and tracking of all warehouse supplies.
+ Develop and maintain work management processes and systems.
+ Coordinate requests and ensure timeliness of distribution.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
+ A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a highly related field AND four (4) years of job-related experience.
+ -OR- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND six (6) years of job-related experience.
+ -OR- Professional-related experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
+ Two (2) years or more of supervisory experience in the related field.
+ A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Safety: Have working knowledge of OSHA standards.
+ Emergency Operations: Familiarity with Incident Command System Operations.
+ Knowledge of Maximo or similar work management & inventory computer management system.
+ Ability to source technical & technology related materials.
S ubject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $75,233.60 - $83,000.00 / annually, based on experience.
