Job Title: Income Tax Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Income Tax Specialist to join our tax team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state income tax returns for corporations and partnerships. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of tax compliance and regulations, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

+ Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.

+ Assist in quarterly and annual tax provision calculations (ASC 740).

+ Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

+ Assist with tax planning and strategy to optimize tax positions.

+ Respond to federal and state tax notices and inquiries.

+ Support audits by gathering and organizing relevant documentation.

+ Maintain tax records and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and legal, on tax-related matters.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in tax compliance and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ At least 2 years of experience in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance.

+ Experience with corporate and partnership tax filings.

+ Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and state tax laws.

+ Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, OneSource, or similar).

+ Familiarity with general ledger systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) is a plus.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

+ CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.
