Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of the Liquidity Product Management Transaction Banking of Americas (TBA) and focusing on the management and delivery of Transaction Banking Liquidity Products within the United States. The incumbent will be responsible with the development and management of the strategic goals of the Transaction Banking Liquidity team, with a primary focus on the domestic and global cash pooling product, and an online liquidity trading portal offering off-balance and on-balance sheet deposit options.
As a member of the Transaction Banking Liquidity Products Team, the job holder will play a crucial role in all phases of the product and project management including working closely with vendors, technology, sales, product and project managers, and SMEs (i.e., risk, finance, operations, and servicing and delivery teams) to ensure a market leading product is met with strategic vision and succuss criteria.
The job holder will also work closely with Transaction Banking Division (TBD) in Tokyo and other regional Transaction Banking teams to support the regional management of the liquidity products and deposit portfolio by managing platforms, prioritizing global priorities, and setting the global direction for enterprise-wide initiatives. At times, job holder may serve as a liaison between TBA and TBD.
Major Responsibilities:
PRODUCT STRATEGY AND DELIVERY
+ Responsible for end-to-end product management and development of a new liquidity trading portal
+ Provides day-to-day support and works alongside the Cash Pooling Product Manager in the areas of domestic and global pooling, sweeping, and cash concentration services
+ Assist client delivery teams with onboarding, and inquiries related to system configuration for customer set-up and user maintenance
+ Proactively communicates identified system issues to ensure a seamless product experience for clients
+ Produce and monitor monthly reports of key performance indicators to manage and drive P&L revenue target and identify emerging balance and revenue trends
+ Participate in vetting sales opportunities
+ Support sales in new opportunities and provide on RFPs
+ Assist in the creation of strategy presentations which define markets, product design, profitability, alternative systems, operating expenditures, capitalization and other factors
+ Serve as a key participant in product life cycle activities such as performing new product/feature approval tasks, drafting marketing and sales support materials, developing operating procedures, and representing the business to operational, project and technology teams
+ Leverage solutions across multiple markets to improve time to market, create consistent customer experience and manage delivery of services to attract and retain customers, and respond to changing industry and customer needs
+ Support the development of business cases for technology investments
+ Coordinate the development and enhancement of the product set between Project Managers, Operations, Client Delivery, IT partners and other stakeholders. Rollout plans may require weekend/after-hours application testing, as required.
+ Maintain awareness of major industry trends and evaluate enhancement opportunities.
PRODUCT RISK MANAGEMENT
+ Actively participate in periodic product risk assessments and procedure reviews.
+ Proactively identify and address risk issues including remediation of product related audit and/or self-identified issues.
+ Strong understanding of regulatory implications on bank liquidity and effects on clients
Experience/Abilities:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ experience in product management, operations, service, or business analysis role in the wholesale/transaction banking market
+ Knowledge of delivering Transaction Banking services to Asian corporate clients is preferred
+ A goal-oriented team player with ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with groups or individuals across the institution and within the industry
+ Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to prepare and deliver executive level presentations
+ Collaborative with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to excel in execution of complex and demanding situations
+ Detail-oriented with proven execution track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
+ Technical working knowledge of industry cash management standard payment file formats
+ Has a good understanding of investment vehicles such as money market mutual funds
+ Ability to work autonomously and initiate and prioritize own work
+ Solid judgment, strong negotiation skills
+ Strong skills in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation
+ Familiarity with bank systems and online banking management
+ Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Products (with emphasis on Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint)
+ Working knowledge of Confluence or other collaboration platforms
+ Flexible worker, with ability to travel if required
The typical base pay range for this role is between $109K - $168K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
