    Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

     

    Employment Type:Full-Time

    Job Summary:

    TheQuality Assurance Specialistensures that all services meet established regulatory and agency quality standards. This role is responsible forauditing, compliance monitoring, incident management, and process improvementacross FLACRA programs. The Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate with internal teams todevelop policies, implement corrective actions, and enhance service delivery.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree preferred(Health, Human Services, or related field).

    + 1-2 years of experiencein direct care support within behavioral health or a related healthcare setting.

    + Valid NYS Driver’s License.

    + Knowledge ofOASAS, OMH, DOH, OMIG, HIPAA, CFR 42 regulationspreferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    + Develop, review, and maintainpolicies and proceduresto align with regulatory standards and best practices.

    + Implementquality assurance protocolsand track performance metrics.

    + Conductaudits and internal evaluationsto ensure compliance with agency and state requirements.

    + Investigateclient concerns, compliance issues, and incident reportsto drive quality improvements.

    + Work closely with theQuality Assurance Teamto manage incident reports and implement corrective actions.

    + Monitor risk management activities related toclinical, financial, and environmental factors.

    Data Collection & Reporting:

    + Gather and analyzequality performance datato identify trends and areas for improvement.

    + Preparecomprehensive reportsto track program effectiveness and compliance levels.

    + Assist in the development ofscorecards and performance dashboardsfor leadership review.

    Training & Support:

    + Organizetraining sessionsto educate staff on quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance.

    + Provide ongoingsupport and guidanceto managers and employees on quality-related concerns.

    + Assist in coordinating and supportingexternal auditsfrom regulatory agencies.

    + Participate inQA On-Call Rotationand provide on-site support as needed.

    Other Duties:

    + Assist withspecial projectsand process improvement initiatives.

    + Ensuretimely and accurate documentationof incident management and compliance reports.

    + Collaborate with leadership toenhance efficiency and quality of service delivery.

    Skills & Experience:

    + Strong understanding ofregulatory requirements(OASAS, OMH, DOH, OMIG, HIPAA, CFR 42).

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Ability tomulti-task, problem-solve, and manage time efficientlyin a fast-paced environment.

    + Experience incorrective action planning and implementation.

    + Strongcomputer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.

    + Ability towork under tight deadlinesand respond to urgent issues when needed.

    + Flexible scheduleincluding evenings and weekends as required.
