The Lake Shore Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Science Teacher (Biology and/or Earth Science Teacher)

Reports to: Building Principal

NYS Certification: Biology 7-12 and/or Earth Science 7-12

Salary: Per the LSCTA Contract

Additional Job Information

The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of the New York State Science Learning Standards and must possess valid New York State certification in this subject. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate teaching skills appropriate to the secondary level. The teacher employed in this position will direct instruction, prepare class materials, evaluate student progress, communicate with parents and other district employees, write and direct learning activities, and provide other supervision and instructional services normally associated with the position of teacher. Technology integration and differentiated instruction are required. The applicant will need to teach computer science courses as per the job description or collaborate with department partners and building administration to design a schedule that includes such courses. The applicant will need to develop three elective courses or partner with department members and building administration to design a schedule that includes such courses.
