    Who You Are:

    Catholic Charities of Oregon is seeking an accomplished Communications Director who has at least seven years of communications experience, ideally in an "in-house" leadership role within a complex nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will bring the critical ability to quickly take in knowledge, transform it into exciting and useful messages, and disseminate it to the right audiences through the best distribution channels.

    What You Will Work On:

    + Develop, seek CEO approval of, and implement an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan to broaden awareness and strengthen CCO's brand identity across key stakeholder audiences.

    + Oversee the continued development and use of the CCO brand.

    + Monitor public opinion of CCO, advising management and executive staff on the external environment while identifying opportunities for the organization to carry out public communications efforts.

    + Working with the development department, build and guide the communications strategy for special events and fundraisers.

    What You Bring:

    Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences

     

    + Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

    + Experience Requirements/Preferences

    + Must have 7 years+ experience in a marketing and communications leadership role, preferably for a social service organization, with responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive and successful marketing and communications strategies.

    + Proficiency with email marketing platforms, such as MailChimp, HubSpot, or Constant Contact. Experience with WordPress and/or HTML, preferred.

    + Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    Background and MVR Screening:

    Satisfactory results from pre-employment criminal and civil background screening required. Motor vehicle records (MVR) review required as needed.
