Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. There may or may not be vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. Responsibilities You will develop, coordinate, and implement formal guidance related to assessing and reporting the readiness of Department of the Navy Nuclear Weapons (NW) and NW systems as part of the overall Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM). You will serve as the Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM) Oversight and Assessment Team's liaison between the Director, Naval Nuclear Weapons Program and other NNDM Echelon 1 and 2 components. You will track issues that affect the Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission in order to identify trends and potential impacts. You will lead the NNDM assessment effort in oversight of Echelon 1 and 2 commands with SWS/NWS Operations, Acquisition, Resourcing, Policy, and Maintenance responsibilities. You will prepare reports and presentations for CNO or the Director, Navy Staff at the NNDM Oversight Council (NNDMOC). You will assess the effectiveness of NNDM echelon 1 and 2 corrective action programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience operating and/or leading teams that operate Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) and/or Nuclear Weapons Surety (NWS); performing program assessment that supports senior leadership decision making; and/or planning, organizing, and facilitating teamwork. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
