    Scarlet Oaks Retirement and Rehabilitation Center is excited to announce openings for both Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Medication Aides. We offer 8-hour shifts from 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. If you are a dedicated Certified Medication Aide with a current CMA/MA-C certification, we want to hear from you!

     

    About Us: Scarlet Oaks Retirement and Rehabilitation Center is committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are looking for an energetic and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care.

    Job Description:

    + Accurately and safely prepare and document oral and topical medications.

    + Ensure all medications are properly labeled.

    + Measure, record, and report residents' vital signs.

    + Observe and verify medication ingestion or application, documenting any refusals.

    + Record medication orders in residents' clinical records.

    + Understand common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms.

    + Gather and record information on incidents in the Assisted Living facility.

    + Perform CPR as needed.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Specific Requirements:

    + At least one year of experience as a Certified Medication Aide in long-term care or assisted living.

    + Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide with a state-approved training program and necessary examinations.

    + Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

    + Effective communication skills with residents, family members, and staff.

    + Ability to navigate computer programs easily.

    + Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care for residents.

    + Supportive team member with a strong teamwork ethic.

    + Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with others.

    + Meet all State health requirements.

    + Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it within two weeks of employment.

    Job Type:

    + Full-time and Part-time positions available.

    + Shifts: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm.
