Summary:
Full Time, 4 - 10-hour shifts; start time 6:30am, with Fridays off.
Responsible for the complex installation and maintenance of locks, door hardware, keys and security systems. Duplicates keys, replaces and re-keys locks as necessary, and ensures that all security devices are in adequate working condition.

Description
1. Keys lock cylinders as per hospital key and lock control policy. Inspects and maintains per PM schedule, doors and associated hardware.
2. Cuts keys for issue per approved key request form. Assigns new lock cylinders with the appropriate key number and key code.
3. Maintains updated list of all doors and assigned key numbers.
4. Checks mailbox and departmental bulletin boards daily for assigned work orders and correspondence. Prioritizes and completes work orders within a reasonable length of time.
5. Communicates with charge nurse and schedules repairs within patient units as necessary. Completes descriptively assigned work orders daily, according to departmental work order policy. Completes descriptively, assigned PM procedures.
6. Requisitions and orders materials as required according to department Purchase order policy. Assures that vendors supply current, complete SDS. Receives materials within shift and verifies quality and quantities.
