Now Hiring: Scratch Bakers For Both Bread And Pastry Departments – $16-$18.50/hr We're looking for a Scratch Baker who can produce consistent and quality Dessert and Breakfast bakes and/or Hearth Breads from our trusted ingredients and recipes. What You'll Do

+ Work with prepared foods team members to produce and bake the Co-op's famous hearth breads & sweet baked goods in our commercial bakery & kitchen

+ Prepare foods using commercial bakery/kitchen equipment including large batch mixers, stoves, ovens, and proofers

+ Consistently project a friendly, open, and service oriented demeanor to customers and team members

+ Lift and carry 15 – 50 pounds of product on a regular basis

What We're Looking For

+ At least 6 months of food service experience, institutional or commercial bakery preferred

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment in an efficient manner.

+ Food and sanitation trained and certified or willingness to be if directed (ServSafe or similar)

+ Familiarity with organic and natural foods

+ Ability to read and speak English and perform basic math problems associated with recipes

+ Ability to accurately and consistently follow recipes

Additional Details

This position requires attention to detail and the ability to stand and work long periods at a time.

Excellent tenure and attendance is expected, with a committed schedule that may include opening, mid-shift, and closing, and requires weekend, and holiday shifts on a regular basis.

Pay based on experience and skills test. 90 day learning period with pay increases at 1,040 and 2,080 hours worked.

This is a full-time position with a benefits package.
