RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reconciles patient accounts receivable and accounts receivable related balance sheet accounts and prepares journal entries or sub ledger adjustments related to any reconciling items.
• Reconciles payments for posting to patient accounts, prepares monthly accounts receivable financial reports, and any related accounts receivable reporting.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Standing, sitting, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity, repetitive arm/hand motions and gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Associate’s degree in accounting or bookkeeping; or two (2) years work experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping may be substituted for education requirement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the education requirement, two (2) years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or patient accounts receivable.
• Knowledge and familiarity with computers and automated systems.
• Prior experience as cashier or in hospital business office preferred.
