    The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Controller’s team.

     

    The Manager, Holding Company Accounting will work collaboratively across the Holding Company & Treasury Accounting team as well as the Corporate Accounting team with the RTX Corporate Controller’s organization. With one direct report, the Manager of Holding Company Accounting will ensure the accounting for all US and international Holding Company activities are recorded and all necessary reporting are done accurately. You will play an active role in helping with day-to-day tasks and monthly/quarterly close process related to Holding Company activities.

    What You Will Do:

    + Lead of the monthly closing for all Corporate Holding Companies. Coordinate with treasury team to identify and correct any closing issues

    + Responsible for ensuring all Holding Company intercompany activity is accurately recorded and ties out in consolidation

    + Variance analysis on quarter & year ends for management

    + Maintain, update & advise FP&A on Holding company budget

    + Review and approve Journal entries, Blackline reconciliations & Invoices

    + Responsible for training new employees/contractors on SAP, Blackline, One Stream & other systems.

    + Maintain all system mapping/maintenance for One Stream, SAP, Blackline

    + Create & assist in creation of accounting work plans for various legal restructuring initiatives, including mergers, liquidations, acquisitions etc.

    + Manage accounting for RTX Ventures investments & roll-forward

    + Address ad-hoc requests from Financial Reporting, Tax and Treasury teams

    + Responsible for requesting and/or modifying access for new users in all applicable systems

    + Work with SAP DT team on various testing initiatives/upgrades

    + Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley internal controls and support internal and external audits

    + Lead and support process improvement projects and system implementations, utilizing the CORE framework and tools.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires a University Degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience **or** in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

    + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

    + Experience with SAP or other ERP software systems as well as skills with Excel

    + Strong financial expertise including GAAP knowledge, internal controls, financial management leadership, and analytical decision-making skills.

    + Highly adaptable and results-driven with the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities independently, and drive positive organizational change.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + RTX segment accounting experience or aerospace and defense industry experience

    + Experience with data reporting and analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

    + Work effectively in a matrix and team environment and collaborate across lines of business and functions.

    The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
