HR Generalist/Assistant (Temporary – Potential to Become Permanent)

Up to $21/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **HR Generalist/Assistant** to support our Human Resources team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career, particularly a senior-level HR student or recent graduate. The ideal candidate will assist in various HR administrative functions and compliance-related tasks and will play a key role in supporting our onboarding and offboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct exit interviews and document employee feedback
+ File and audit I-9 forms, including pulling termed I-9s and preparing for audits
+ Maintain and organize terminated employee files
+ Serve as a backup for daily headcount and HPU (hours per unit) reporting
+ Distribute orientation materials to new hires
+ Send onboarding communications following job offers
+ Enter new employees into the time clock system
+ Prepare orientation paperwork and onboarding packets
+ Assist with other HR administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications:
+ Prior experience in Human Resources preferred
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
+ Experience with HRIS or time clock systems is a plus
+ Ideal for a senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Schedule & Duration:
+ Immediate start preferred
+ Full-time, Monday–Friday
+ Temporary position with potential to transition to permanent based on performance and business needs
