    Pantheon is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Associate Marketing Manager  to join our team to work on marketing campaigns for some of our most exciting titles, across fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels, from our star-studded roster of award-winning authors, including Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Chloe Dalton, Laila Lalami, Ali Smith, Helen Garner, Heather Ann Thompson, Charles Yu, Marjane Satrapi, Craig Thompson, and Art Spiegelman.

     

    Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will develop innovative, end-to-end marketing campaigns, working closely with authors, editors, and agents on the creation and execution of hardcover and paperback promotions. You will work across genres, including literary fiction, history, cultural criticism, memoir, current events, graphic novels, and more, and across teams to influence imprint-wide campaigns and initiatives, with an eye toward grassroots marketing activations and creative promotional opportunities.

     

    Pantheon is small, highly collaborative imprint dedicated to publishing high-quality fiction and nonfiction. The ideal candidate will have experience in working directly with authors and agents and managing campaigns, as well as working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Campaign development and management: Create and lead innovative and data-driven marketing plans across social media, paid media, influencer, partnership, and email marketing

    • Communication and coordination: Liaise with publicity, editorial, and design to create cohesive campaigns and promotions, while communicating with sales, authors, agents, and other stakeholders

    • Data-driven and market-forward strategy: Maintain awareness of the adult book market, publishing industry, social media landscape, and current marketing data and trends to construct campaigns that drive awareness, build engagement, and maximize ROI

    • Project management and organization: Effectively build, manage, and optimize internal processes to ensure streamlined workflow of ongoing initiatives and seamless coordination with other departments

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-4 years of experience in book marketing with demonstrated presentation skills and experience working on integrated marketing campaigns

    • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience working with editorial, publicity, and sales, as well as working with authors and agents

    • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other key stakeholders, both in writing and verbally

    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a deadline driven working environment

    • Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required

    • Proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite programs, Canva, and related online marketing tools preferred

     

    This is a Hybrid role. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).

     

    The salary for this position is $66,500.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
