General position summary:
The Sr. Director of Product Development is a critical leadership role responsible for directing our technology application strategies and landscape. Oversee the application development lifecycle of bespoke and integration into third-party applications while managing a dynamic team of managers, developers and analysts. This individual will play a key role in driving the business and company mission and to innovate, advocate and drive our application landscape to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Leadership and Strategy: Formulate and implement the strategic vision for the application development roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives as well as standardization.
+ Financial Management: Oversee annual P&L for resources and project-related expenses.
+ Team Management: Direct, mentor, and supervise a team of skilled leaders, developers, and analysts, ensuring timely completion of projects that meet the highest quality standards.
+ Project Oversight: Supervise the planning, development, and deployment of applications, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
+ Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for process enhancement, incorporating the latest technologies and methodologies to improve application performance and user experience.
+ Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and IT Operations, to ensure seamless integration of applications within the broader ecosystem.
+ Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently to optimize project delivery and operational effectiveness.
+ Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring application stability and security.
+ Stakeholder Communication: Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including executives, business partners, staff, and customers.
Job Skills Required:
+ Technical Expertise: Knowledge and proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
+ Financial Acumen: Understanding of basic P&L principles and budgeting processes
+ Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire teams, encouraging collaboration and excellence.
+ Project Management: Experience managing complex projects and a history of successful delivery.
+ Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
+ Adaptability: Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
+ Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS models.
+ Experience in a similar industry or company size.

Education & Experience:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
+ Experience: At least 10 years of experience in application development, including 5 years in a leadership role.
Travel:
+ Less than 25% travel required.
Language Skills:
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to write routine reports.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Operations:
+ To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS (Human Resources Information System), timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.
Planning/Organization:
+ Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday
+ Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work
