    Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Systems** **Engineer - Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C)** . This position will be located in **Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, California** and will support the **Sentinel program** . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

    What You** **’** **ll Get To Do:

    The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join the team supporting activities including flight simulator development, GNC algorithm development and implementation, "test as you fly" test development, model verification and validation, and requirements validation.

    Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

    + Work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, verify, and validate a complex 6-degree of freedom missile flight simulator

    + Design and implement guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms

    + Develop software tools for analyzing GN&C performance

    + Conduct system performance assessments for performance against mission requirements

    + Perform GN&C system and accuracy analysis of flight tests.

    You** **’** **ll Bring These Qualifications:

    + Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years of experience; or 0 years with master’s degree

    + Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

    + 2years’ experience in guidance, navigation, or control algorithm development and/or analysis for launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, and/or aircraft applications

    + Experience in high level programming languages (MATLAB, C++) and Object-Oriented Programming design

    + Ability to work in a highly collaborative & dynamic team-based environment

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

    + Active Top-Secret Clearance

    + Familiarity with Radiation Testing and knowledge of Nuclear Hostile Environments

    + Experience in the military aerospace development environment

    + Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model

    + Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS

    + Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools

    + Experience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languages

    + Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers

    + Experience in Software and/or Hardware design

    + Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents

    + Experience with weapon systems

    + Experience with Agile Development

    + Experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration

    + Experience with complex system development on large programs

    This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

     

    This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

    Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $134,200.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
