A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Legal Counsel for you will provide
legal support for various product lines in Siemens Energy’s industrial and
energy businesses. Your primary
responsibility will be to support commercial transactions for the sale and
service of equipment and long-term service programs. You will need to suggest
innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, negotiations, obligations,
claims and exposures.
This position
will be based out of Siemens Energy’s offices in Orlando, Florida or Houston,
Texas. This position will support various Siemens Energy businesses throughout
the Americas. This is a hybrid position.
How You’ll Make anImpact
+ Draft andnegotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels.
+ Draft settlementagreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, change orders, andother contractual terms and conditions.
+ Advisemanagement on contractual and legal risks.
+ Lead claimshandling and litigation support for projects in execution.
+ Supportcorporate and compliance matters.
+ AssistBusiness Partners with business strategy and planning.
What You Bring
+ Juris Doctorate required. Must be admitted topractice law in one or more states.
+ Minimum of 8+ years of directly relevant legal experiencein a law firm or corporate in-house position.
+ Strong negotiation skills, detail/customeroriented, able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
+ Pragmatic approach to problemsolving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedulesand priorities.Team player who can work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Able to communicate clearly andconcisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives. Excellentcommunication, writing, and facilitation skills. Spanish is a plus.
+ Commercialtransactions and litigation experience required. Energy or industrial industry experiencepreferred.
Applicants must be
legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current
or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with
current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
The Legal Counsel will
support Services for the North America Distributed and Transformation of
Industry business (D&TI). The D&TI team works closely with the
acquisition and execution of complex contracts for various customers, including
Utilities, Municipalities, Oil & Gas, Industry, and other private sector
business.
