    Job Title: Assembly Worker

    Job Description

    As an Assembly Worker, you will utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts. You will read and interpret blueprints, perform general warehouse upkeep, and conduct quality inspection checks. You will work both independently at your station and collaboratively with a team of 3-4 people to complete assemblies. Basic operation of computers and other tasks such as packing, production, and material handling are also part of the role.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Maintain general upkeep of the warehouse.

    + Collaborate with team members to complete assemblies.

    + Perform quality inspection checks.

    + Operate computers for basic tasks.

    + Handle packing, production, and material handling duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to stand for 8 hours.

    + Capability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools.

    + Ability to read, speak, and understand instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with RF scanners.

    + Mechanically inclined.

    + Knowledge of blueprint reading.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is fast-paced and hectic. You will be working in a warehouse subject to seasonal temperatures, with high forklift traffic. The team consists of around 30 employees, and you may work independently or in small teams. Personal protective equipment including steel-toed shoes and vests are required. You will work Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with occasional mandatory Saturdays. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed shoes.

    This is a Contract position based out of Iowa City, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
