About the Role
We are looking a Lead Performance Engineer for marketing and eCommerce platforms, focusing on speed, scalability, and reliability across cloud, microservices, and containerized environments. The role involves designing and automating performance tests within CI/CD pipelines, analyzing system bottlenecks using tools like New Relic, AWS Logs, and X-Ray, and creating observability dashboards for real-time insights. you will mentor engineers within the CoE, champion continuous improvement and AI-driven innovation, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. This position offers the chance to shape engineering strategies, elevate customer experiences, and stay at the forefront of industry developments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborates with product and technical teams to analyze, design, and translate non-functional requirements.
+ Evaluates architecture, deployment, user base, and workloads to recommend the most effective performance engineering strategy.
+ Ensures system speed, scalability, and reliability while adapting CoE best practices and standards from shift-left to shift-right.
+ Analyzes slowdowns in frontend and backend, identifies root causes, and collaborates with teams for optimization.
+ Hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner and other tools to test system reliability.
+ Use New Relic, AWS X-Ray, and logs to track system behavior and find issues early.
+ Builds observability dashboards using LGTM and implements distributed tracing and instrumentation.
+ Contribute actively to Performance Engineering CoE, Continues Improvement, Innovations, and Research
+ Optimize Cloud and Large-Scale Systems – Improve efficiency of cloud, microservices, and containerized environments.
+ Collaborates with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure performance goals are met.
+ Proven ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with AWS cloud platforms and technologies.
+ Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, Sitespeed.io, NewRelic , AWS CloudWatch.
+ Exposure with, Xray, GitHub, Grafana, etc,.
+ Knowledge of chaos engineering principles and practices.
+ Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Ability to work with Java, Python, or similar language
+ Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in performance engineering
+ Strong experience of performance testing & engineering tools and methodologies.
+ Experience with performance profiling, monitoring, and tuning of complex systems.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
