    **In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Division of Endocrinology at Banner University Medicine is actively** recruiting a Program Director for their Fellowship program. The successful candidate will join an expanding division of Endocrinology and will support the clinical and educational missions of the College of Medicine-Phoenix and the Department of Internal Medicine-Endocrinology.

     

    The selected individual will have responsibility, authority, and accountability for administration, operations; teaching and scholarly activity; as well as recruitment selection and fellow education in the context of patient care.

     

    The fellowship program is a 2-year program with 3 fellows entering the program every year.

     

    The fellowship is a combined program at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix and the Carl T. Hayden Veterans' Administration Medical Center-Phoenix. An enthusiastic commitment to teaching and mentoring is essential.

    Some details include:

    + Performs inpatient and outpatient clinical care

    + IP consults on rotating basis

    + Supervision and promotion of fellows

    + Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows

    + Conduct evaluations and disciplinary action

    + Department will support Program Director with administrative time commensurate with duties

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + M.D. or D.O. degree

    + Arizona medical license obtained by start date

    + BC in Endocrinology

    + 3+ years experience as an Academic Faculty

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Significant Scholarly involvement

    + Proven clinical and teaching skills

    + Current/recent leadership involvement in a residency or fellowship program
