    The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Banner Health and Banner Medical Group is actively seeking a Per Diem Trauma Surgeon to provide a full range of surgical services at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care

    + Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care , Acute Care Surgery, & Trauma

    + 2-3 years' experience post-fellowship

    + Licensed in the state of Arizona

    + Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance

    + Established expertise in working with diverse patient populations

    Practice Details:

    + Based out of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC)

    + Work schedule: Per Diem (employed opportunity)

    + Provide coverage in the surgical trauma ICU

    + Provide back up call coverage as needed

    **Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC)** has served the Northwest Valley for more than 25 years with an unrelenting focus on excellent patient care. A recently completed $290 million expansion showcases BTMCs Level I Adult Trauma Center for patients 15 and older. Designation as an Arizona Level I Trauma Center means Banner Thunderbird can provide total care for every aspect of injury, greatly reducing the need to transfer patients outside the area for life-saving treatment. Examples of injuries a Level I can treat include traumatic car crash injuries, gunshot victims, stab wounds and traumatic brain injuries.BTMC has approximately 600 beds, and has increased its OR capacity to 19 state-of-the-art surgical suites and full complement of medical sub-specialties support a growing patient base and the vibrant Glendale and surrounding communities.
