    + This job is a member of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) within the Cybersecurity Operations department.

    + Responsible for the detailed and repeatable execution of all daily operational tasks. Specifically, the first-level Analyst will be accountable for timely monitoring, review, research, and analysis of security events coming into the various CIRT channels.

    + Gain hands-on experience in incident response and cyber defense

    What you'll do

    + Monitor and analyze security events, then lead the initial response and triage.

    + Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate when needed.

    + Conduct log analysis and threat research to support incident response related activities.

    + Thoroughly document investigation results, ensuring all relevant details are captured.

    + Regularly maintain and update team documentation, as necessary, to account for any changes to processes and procedures.

    + Collaborate closely with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to address security concerns.

    + Stay current with emerging threats, attack techniques, and industry trends

    + Be a respected voice on the team, suggesting new ideas and/or process improvements

    + Works a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed to support cybersecurity operations.

     

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + High School Diploma

    + 1+ years of Information Technology experience

    + Understanding of cybersecurity principles and domains

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

    + Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations

    + Be passionate and self-motivated for learning new things

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

    + 3+ years of Information Technology experience

    + 1+ years of Security Operations Center (SOC) experience

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    + Information Security Certification such as: Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GREM

    + Experience monitoring services across multiple platforms

    + Ability to work independently and manage one's time to meet commitments and expectations

    + Ability to remain organized and adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances

    + Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

    + Ability to effectively diagnose an issue and recommend a solution

    + Ability to be flexible and focused to deliver products with different priorities and timelines

    + Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources
