Description We are looking for an experienced Network Security Administrator II with a focus on firewall management to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining firewall and network security solutions across multiple client environments. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in network security to protect and optimize diverse client infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and manage advanced firewall solutions, including those from vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, and Check Point.
• Monitor and maintain firewall rule sets, security policies, and configurations to align with client-specific compliance requirements.
• Investigate and respond to firewall-related alerts, anomalies, and security incidents, escalating issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to assess network security risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Conduct security assessments, firewall audits, and configuration reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Provide support for client onboarding by assessing and integrating new firewall deployments or migrations.
• Leverage security monitoring tools to enhance visibility into network activity and improve incident response.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures, for firewall and network security operations.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address critical security incidents as required. Requirements • 3–5+ years of experience in network security administration with a focus on firewalls.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a Managed Service Provider or multi-tenant client environment.
• Expertise in managing enterprise-grade firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, or Check Point.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including BGP, IPSec, VLANs, and routing technologies.
• Proven experience with log analysis, threat detection, and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 or similar.
• Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as Cisco ASA, Check Point firewalls, and authentication systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
